“The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.” Psalm 118:14
Music is a very important part of the ministry at St. Paul. In the Old Testament, the Book of Psalms speaks of praising God with music by singing, dancing and playing musical instruments.
Worshiping God with music is very much a part of our Sunday worship service. We sing traditional hymns, as well as contemporary praise songs. Each service begins with an organ prelude and ends with an organ postlude.
Our Sunday School children learn songs such as “Jesus Loves Me” and “Lord, I Lift Your Name On High” and sometimes accompany the singing with the playing of tambourines, maracas, jingle bells and chimes.
The goal of our church choir is to sing to the Glory of God. Our choir meets on Thursdays at 7:00 pm to rehearse, and sings every Sunday at the 10:30 am worship service, except during the summer. We are always open to welcoming new choir members. Please join us as we sing praises to God!
Do you play the guitar, drums, keyboard or any other musical instrument? We hope to someday form a Praise Band and welcome all who are interested in playing or singing in a Praise Band.
“Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant and praise is becoming.” Psalm 147:1
